Frequently Asked Questions
-
We don’t offer tax filing, estate plan creation, or insurance sales. Rather, we focus on education for these topics, as well as provide referrals to other folks who can help with these areas as needed. As holistic investment planners, we also don’t work with cryptocurrency or single-stock investments, unless your goal is to move away from them or diversify them.
-
Yes! You can sign up for any of our programs as an individual or with your partner/spouse/family, whatever feels like the best fit for you!
(Psst… if you’re polyamorous or looking for support for another family dynamic, we’ve got you–our “couples” pricing applies to y’all too!)
-
You’ll have the opportunity to explore next steps at the end of your program.
For some, that means booking the occasional hourly session as needed for one-off questions afterwards.
Others complete their planning engagement and decide to then transition into ongoing planning services and/or investment management after we end our work together.
Either way, we won’t leave you hanging!
-
Our services are designed for anyone who wants help with financial planning. That said, our goal is to create a space where LGBTQ+ folks feel supported and empowered to sort out their money stuff, because there isn’t as much of this kind of work geared specifically toward us.
No matter who you are, if that aligns with your vibe, we’d make a great team!
-
That depends. If you book a one-time foundational or comprehensive plan with us, all of our retirement and investment advice is platform-agnostic and tailored to your specific needs and goals. So if you want to stick with a particular platform, we’ll give advice specific to that platform. And if you’re open to recommendations, we’ve got you covered! However, if you choose to hire us for ongoing investment management, we only manage money on the Charles Schwab platform at this time, and will be ready to help you transition your accounts there.
-
Our one-on-one work is extremely personalized, detail oriented, and we put a lot of love and emotional labor into serving our clients.
As a result, we are limited in the number of clients we take on, and our services are priced accordingly. If you’re looking for more accessible or sliding scale work, we’d love to have you in our Radical Wealth Collective program instead, which will allow you to get some truly kickass support and education at a much lower price point.
-
Our philosophy is generally that marginalized communities (queer, BIPOC, even just folks who identify as women—and those with overlapping identities in particular) need to prioritize their safety and security—so figuring out what you need to take care of yourself comes first, then helping making sure that any excess is either spent or put into the communities you care about most.
We also talk a lot about values-based decisions around here. Whether that means encouraging mindful spending, planning for charitable giving, or investing in line with your values, we’re here to hold space for the messy work of living with capitalism while also critiquing it.
